Staples Rodway Hawkes Bay Ltd.

Staples Rodway can trace its ancestry in Hawkes Bay back to the 1890’s.

Based in the city of Hastings, Staples Rodway has developed a client base that represents all aspects of the Hawkes Bay economy, both rural and commercial.  Staples Rodway Hawkes Bay Ltd is one of six offices around New Zealand and has a team of around 40 staff.  With expertise in areas such as Human Resource and Business Computing Services, Staples Rodway are much more than your average accountants.

The Business Computing Services section comprises Blair McCallum and Trudi Herniman.  Blair and Trudi recently completed the Prophet accredited installer training and are now able to offer their experience of business processes to enable the Hawkes Bay Prophet community, to gain the most from their systems.

Blair says “We see Business Computing Services as an important part of the overall business advice Staples Rodway has on offer.  It is our experience that the businesses which embrace information systems and the tools they provide are the ones that grow during the good times and survive during the bad times.  To successfully implement and operate an information system it is important that the business and industry requirements are fully understood.”  This is a particular strength of Staples Rodway with Blair having a background of working in the commercial world, experiencing many of the frustrations that our clients often go through.

It was through seeing our clients experiencing these frustrations that Staples Rodway decided to add Prophet to their portfolio of supported information tools.  “We saw the difficulties experienced by our clients who had out grown their less sophisticated off the shelf systems, but could not justify the investment and commitment required to move to a large ERP (enterprise resource planning) system.” Blair said, “Prophet fits the gap perfectly, it has the functionality required by a growing business with increasing complexity requirements, at the same time the subscription based software licensing makes implementation costs affordable with immediate tax benefits.”

Blair and Trudi are looking forward to working alongside Attaché to ensure that Prophet users in the Bay are maximising their potential through maximising the use of their information systems.
